The project, which is owned by the City of Saskatoon, includes an excavation that varies in depth from 3 meters at the warm up pool to 6 meters at the deep end of the competitive pool. 125 interlocking cast-in-place concrete (CFA) piles will act as the shoring system at that location. Also included are approximately 1,000 driven timber piles, 200 driven steel pipe piles, concrete foundations/slabs, precast hollow core at second floor, structural steel, metal cladding and masonry exterior, curtain wall at south elevation (main entrance), finishes, as well as mechanical and electrical systems. The pool scope includes 3 meter high prefabricated stainless steel panels with an integral gutter system within the 50 meter International size pool, cast-in-place concrete dive tower, water slide, 25 meter warm-up pool, leisure pool and whirlpool. All associated mechanical and electrical systems are included as well.
