The New 96 Bed Maximum Security Living Unit at the Saskatchewan Penitentiary Institute, Prince Albert Saskatchewan is a maximum security housing unit, complete with administration offices, dining hall, and laundry facilities. 

Structure is concrete on wood piles, with structural steel roof system covered in Modified Bituminous Roofing.  Exterior finish is brick veneer and metal cladding. Concrete walls in the cell ranges have several embedded items in each cell, with a high quality finish required at all walls. Security / Detention construction and hardware requirements for the project are significant. Inmate cell ranges are finished concrete with epoxy flooring, wall coatings, and painted surfaces. Administration areas include modest finish throughout.  Mechanical work includes are significant amount of site service work.  Mechanical systems are functional for the building, with the security access requirements being significant. 

Electrical system also includes site service work.  Electrical systems are functional and include complex detention hardware control.
