A new addition to the existing Black Gold Recreation Facility.  The added components of this project include two (2) NHL size hockey rinks with seating for approximately 300 persons in each arena.  There will be a fieldhouse with two (2) indoor fields, one used primarily for indoor soccer and the other used for multipurpose dry sport programming, but also available for food and banquet services, seniors lawn bowling and many other uses.  A fitness / wellness centre consistent with a pass holder card approach to access along with appropriate change rooms, support areas and an indoor walking track (associated with the fieldhouse development) and youth and seniors programming.

There will be leased spaces for private enterprise with the synergy of use in the fitness / wellness environment such as sports stores, sports medicine, physiotherapists, etc.  There will be a family lounge that is used to develop the social aspect of the  facility enhancing spontaneous pass holder development and retention.  

There will be appropriate administration and support facilities for this facility.
