Project Description

Over the past 36 years, Southgate Centre has been a part of the South Edmonton community.  The new construction will add 155,000 square feet on the ground level.  There will be two levels of parking directly above the expansion serviced by escalators and elevators descending into the grand atrium area.

Inside Southgate Centre, the west side feature court floor is being upgraded with new terrazzo patterns.  The marble tile with unique floor patterns will be carried into the expansion.  The lighting levels that are currently in the existing Centre will be carried throughout the new construction.  Finishing the common areas throughout the entire Centre will be completed with modern and relaxing colours and furniture. 

The west exterior will incorporate the existing brick with metal cladding and glazing to give the Centre an urban appeal to develop an interesting and attractive streetscape as well as screen the parkade.
